Laboratory of Power Systems is part of the Department of Power Systems and Devices. Other laboratories, which are part of the department, are the Laboratory of electricity networks and devices, Laboratory of energy policy, Laboratory of lighting and photometry and the Laboratory of electric power supply.
The research and lectures of the laboratory are focused on various aspects of the operation, control and planning of electric power systems (EPS), and also the electricity market. Currently, we are engaged in the development of new methods for prioritizing investments in the planning of the power network process, analyzing the impact of the electric drive vehicles on the EPS reliability and optimization models for charging infrastructure placement.
Nevertheless, we are actively involved in applied industrial projects, mainly in Slovenia and Western Balkans.
